I hand carve these rings to be as durable as possible, but they are not indestructible. I suggest these for occasional wear

-Avoid getting your jewelry wet-these rings are fully hand carved from antler, and antler is essentially bone. Excessive moisture getting into the bone will cause the sealant to bubble and peel.

-Do not allow your jewelry to come into contact with harsh chemicals, hand sanitizer, lotions, dyes or cosmetics. Antler is extremely porous and when it comes into contact with certain substances can cause damage.

-Remove your jewelry before doing anything strenuous with your hands. These are fully carved from bone, and although it is strong, bone has limitations.

 I hand carve these completely from bone, so, for durability purposes they must be slightly bulkier than a traditional metal ring. They will not feel like a traditional metal ring when worn. These are art pieces and art is not always completely practical, but you will stand out in a crowd and have a great conversation piece on your finger!
